OREA Optical Absolute Kit Encoder

The OREA is a high-resolution optical absolute kit encoder built for applications that demand maximum positioning accuracy. Its bearingless, contactless design eliminates mechanical wear and reduces maintenance. As a result, it delivers reliable performance and a long service life. The reflective encoder also installs quickly, making it easy to integrate into compact motion control systems.

The encoder provides single-turn absolute position feedback with 20-bit resolution. It supports both BiSS and SSI interfaces for fast, reliable communication. In addition, it operates from a 5 VDC power supply and connects easily to servo drives, PLCs, and motion controllers. Because it provides absolute position data, the system does not require homing after power-up.

The OREA also offers excellent design flexibility. You can customize the code wheel to fit different hollow shaft diameters. You can also modify the housing to reduce the installation height.
