The SME11 is a contactless incremental linear encoder for linear motors, torque motors, and precision motion control systems. It delivers accurate, repeatable position feedback with resolution down to 0.5 µm. This makes it ideal for high-speed applications that demand exceptional precision and long-term reliability.
The encoder supports both Push-Pull (HTL) and Line Driver (TTL) outputs. It integrates easily with PLCs, servo drives, CNC machines, and motion controllers. Its contactless magnetic sensing technology eliminates mechanical wear and reduces maintenance. As a result, it delivers stable, reliable performance throughout its service life. The Hi-Flex sensor cable withstands continuous motion, while the integrated status LED simplifies installation and alignment. Optional error output and tape cleaning wipers further improve system reliability.
The SME11 supports travel speeds up to 16 m/s. It offers sensor accuracy up to ±15 µm and repeatability of ±1 increment. Multiple resolution options, from 10 µm to 0.5 µm, allow engineers to match the encoder to their application. A 0.1 to 0.5 mm sensing gap provides greater installation flexibility without compromising accuracy.
A rugged die-cast aluminum housing with IP67 protection shields the encoder from dust, water, oil, and other contaminants. The encoder also withstands 250 g shock, 10 g vibration, and temperatures from –25°C to +85°C.
