The IR01 is an incremental measuring wheel encoder designed for conveyor systems, logistics, cut-to-length machines, and material handling equipment. It measures linear travel directly from the moving surface and delivers accurate speed and position feedback. As a result, it is ideal for applications that require precise length measurement and conveyor control.
The encoder features metric and imperial measuring wheels to suit different systems. It also includes a spring-loaded mounting arm with up to 30 mm of travel, ensuring consistent wheel contact and reliable measurements. In addition, it provides quadrature AB signals with anti-jitter and rollback functions for stable, accurate feedback.
The IR01 supports resolutions of up to 5,000 PPR and offers NPN, Push-Pull, and Universal output circuits. An M12 connector simplifies installation and allows fast integration with PLCs, motion controllers, and industrial automation systems. Furthermore, the encoder supports shaft speeds of up to 2,000 RPM, making it suitable for high-speed conveyor applications.
A rugged IP65-rated housing protects the encoder from dust and water. It also withstands 250 g shock, 10 g vibration, and temperatures from –25°C to +85°C.
