The IQ36 is a programmable incremental encoder designed for industrial automation, packaging, robotics, and general motion control. Its compact Ø36 mm housing fits easily into space-limited machines while delivering accurate speed and position feedback. As a result, it offers an ideal balance of performance, flexibility, and reliability.
The encoder is fully programmable via USB, allowing users to configure the resolution, counting direction, and index pulse without replacing the device. It supports resolutions from 1 to 16,384 PPR and features a Universal output circuit that is compatible with both Push-Pull and Line Driver outputs. Therefore, it integrates easily with PLCs, servo drives, and motion controllers.
The IQ36 supports shaft speeds of up to 6,000 RPM during continuous operation and 12,000 RPM for short periods. It is available with either a cable or M12 connector, making installation fast and straightforward. In addition, its rugged design withstands 250 g shock, 10 g vibration, and operating temperatures from –25°C to +85°C.
An IP67-rated housing protects the encoder from dust and water, while an optional IP69K version provides even greater environmental protection. As a result, the IQ36 is an excellent choice for factory automation, conveyors, packaging machines, machine tools, and other demanding industrial applications.
