The EM58, EM58S, EMC58, and EMC59 are magnetic absolute encoders designed for industrial automation, packaging, material handling, and motion control. Flexible Interfaces and Mounting Options

The encoders support SSI and parallel interfaces with single-turn resolutions of up to 13 bits. In addition, they are available in several mechanical configurations to simplify installation. The EM58 features a solid shaft with servo flange, the EM58S offers a blind hollow shaft, the EMC58 includes a clamp flange, and the EMC59 features a square flange. This variety allows engineers to select the best encoder for their machine design.

Built for Industrial Environments

The EM58 series supports shaft speeds of up to 12,000 RPM and operates in temperatures from –20°C to +85°C. A rugged Ø58 mm housing with IP65 protection shields the encoder from dust and water. Furthermore, it withstands 250 g shock and 10 g vibration, ensuring reliable operation in harsh industrial conditions.
