The C58A and C58R are incremental optical rotary encoders designed for motor feedback, industrial automation, and motion control systems. Their Ø58 mm housing and through-hollow shaft design provide accurate speed and position feedback while simplifying installation on AC and DC motors. As a result, they are an excellent choice for compact, high-performance motion systems.
Flexible Mounting and Reliable Feedback
The encoders deliver resolutions of up to 5,000 PPR for precise motion control. They also support Push-Pull, Line Driver, and Universal output circuits, making integration with PLCs, servo drives, and motion controllers simple. In addition, the C58A features a front-side fixing collar, while the C58R uses a back-side fixing collar, allowing engineers to choose the best mounting option for their application.
Built for Industrial Environments
The C58A/C58R supports shaft speeds of up to 6,000 RPM and accommodates 14 mm and 15 mm through-hollow shafts. Users can choose cable, M12, or M23 connector versions to match their installation requirements. Furthermore, the encoder withstands 250 g shock, 10 g vibration, and operates from –25°C to +85°C. An optional version extends the operating range to –40°C to +100°C and provides IP65 protection.
