The AK36HME1 is a compact optical absolute encoder designed for servo motors, robotics, industrial automation, and precision motion control. Available in both single-turn and battery-buffered multiturn versions, it delivers exceptional positioning accuracy while fitting easily into compact motor and machine designs.

The single-turn version provides up to 21-bit resolution, while the multiturn version offers up to 40-bit resolution, allowing precise position tracking across multiple revolutions. As a result, the encoder delivers accurate absolute position data immediately after power-up, eliminating homing procedures and improving machine productivity.

The AK36HME1 supports both BiSS-C and SSI communication interfaces for fast, reliable data transfer to PLCs, servo drives, and motion controllers. Its blind hollow shaft design also simplifies integration into servo motors and other space-constrained applications.

Built for high-speed operation, the encoder supports shaft speeds of up to 10,000 rpm while maintaining low starting torque and low rotor inertia for smooth, responsive motion. In addition, it is available with IP54 protection as standard or IP64 protection as an option, providing reliable performance in demanding industrial environments.
