The IZ17E combines a wiring-free incremental sensor with a compact display unit for precise measurement and easy reading. Its large two-line LCD display (digit height 12.6 mm / 8.5 mm) shows values with signs, special characters, and universal symbols, and includes a battery-status indicator and a ° symbol. Fractional display in inch mode is also supported.

The system mounts easily using clips or an assembly frame. Versions are available with an absolute sensor (AZS) or both incremental and absolute sensors, enabling absolute length measurement with incremental angle adjustment. Optional interfaces include RS232, RS485, and RF 868 MHz.
