AKS16 High-Precision Absolute Magnetic Encoder

The AKS16 encoder, paired with its associated magnetic scales, provides cost-effective absolute magnetic measurement solutions for a wide range of industrial automation and motion control applications.

It supports linear measurements up to 256 mm and rotary measurements—radial or axial—from 11 mm to 86 mm in diameter. With a linear resolution of up to 156 nm and rotary resolution up to 20-bit (1,048,576 CPR), the AKS16 delivers precision performance that surpasses typical shaft-end encoders.

Compact and robust, the AKS16 measures 24.2 mm in length (1.28 mm and 1.50 mm pole pitch versions) or 28 mm (2 mm pole pitch), 16 mm in width, and 6.6 mm (Molex) / 3.4 mm (FFC) in height. Its IP67 protection class ensures reliable operation in harsh environments.
