What are your company’s core values or mission when it comes to motion control?
Precizika Metrology has been in the motion control industry since 1961, focused on providing motion measuring solutions while constantly improving and evolving to satisfy the ever-changing industry needs. Over 60 years later, the mission today is quite straightforward – harness the know-how and experience to design and develop standard and tailor-made solutions that reduce the time to market for special motion measurement applications with R&D support, flexibility, and quickness every step of the way.
What industries or applications are you most focused on serving today?
Throughout the years, we have manufactured motion control products for numerous industries: robotics, medical equipment, industrial automation, CNC machines, just to name a few. However, for the past 5 years or so, we have shifted a lot of focus to the defense industry. Quick prototyping, in-house R&D, and a full production line enable us to be flexible in an industry where customization, tailored products, and small adjustments are essential for long-term success and relationship building. We continue to focus a lot of our attention on the defense sector, and there are many new, exciting projects currently in development that we believe will strengthen our position in the industry even further.
How has your product line evolved in response to market needs?
Adapting to changing customer needs and expectations is always a challenge. We have noticed that the demand for personalized, non-standard solutions has been growing every year. To accommodate that, our development processes and the product line had to evolve. In this very competitive environment, it is no longer enough to have standard encoder models; there is a high demand for engineer-to-engineer communication and quick on-the-fly adjustments that are necessary for accurate and reliable operation of specific applications.
What are the most in-demand products right now from your portfolio?
Precizika Metrology manufactures encoders for many different industries, so there is no clear leading category. Rotary encoders are the most used type of encoders in the world, so it only makes sense that they always have a big piece of the pie. Linear encoders cannot compete in terms of global usage, but we have recently launched new absolute linear encoders that should take some spotlight in the coming months. High-accuracy angle encoders are more niche, but we have always been strong and competitive in this category. Overall, the demand usually depends on the type of industry and specific application requirements.
How does our collaboration help customers in Israel and the region?
Since the start of business collaboration with Wesense, our footprint in the Israeli market has grown substantially. It opens new opportunities for the customers in the region who are looking for reliable and trustworthy partners. Together with Wesense, Precizika metrology can offer the best solution for any motion control challenge with support, effective communication, and quickness along the way.
How flexible is your production in terms of customizing solutions for OEMs or special applications?
Having everything under one roof in Vilnius allows us to be flexible in many ways. In-house R&D and full production line, from encoder optics to CNC machining of metal parts of the housing elements, provides us flexibility not only in the product design phase but also in the production itself, as we can control the processes and adapt our manufacturing to OEMs’ requirements.
